BMW 1150 GS adventure engine 2002 single spark.
The engine was the original from the 1150 I recently sold and came with the bike when I bought it, the previous owner said he left the bike ticking over and forgot about it which subsequently caused the engine to overheat and nip!! I’m told that this doesn’t always cause catastrophic damage or in some cases lasting damage.
The engine turns over by had and feels to have good compression.
The engine has a crank position hall sensor, spark plugs and oil pressure switch still fitted and the original clutch is still with it. It appears one of the exhaust studs had sheared when the work to replace the engine was carried out.
The oil level sight glass and sump plug are missing.
The engine paint is flaking in certain areas but the overall condition of the castings appears to be good.
