Honda CBX550F – non runner
Bought as a project for my son to restore – following a accident, he’s lost interest.
The engine was stripped. Water had entered no3 cylinder, rust prevented the end being able to turn over. Piston will rotate through lower part of stroke. Rust is in the bore, not the piston seized.
Had to cut the cam chain. Can chain tensioner was cracked, previously welded.
1 x camshaft cap broken at lug for cam over screw. 1 x camshaft cap bolt snapped in the head.
Bike is 90% complete, with additional spares.
V5 in my name.
There was a Motad 4-1 exhaust, but misplaced! If I can find it, then it will be thrown in, but assume not!
