Honda Tl 125 Trials Bike .running Engine . Spares Or Repairs For Restoration .

HERE IS OUR HONDA TL 125S . WE HAVE HAD THIS IN OUR WORKSHOP FOR MANY MANY YEARS AND HAVE NEVER GOT ROUND TO RESTORING IT. I BOUGHT IT FOR MY SON BUT HE FAR PREFERED HIS RM 250 WHEN HE WAS YOUNG SO IT HAS JUST LANGUISHED BEHIND ALL THE OTHER BIKES. AS HE IS A LOT OLDER NOW AND IS NEVER GOING RESTORE IT  AS NOW COLLECTS  FIREBLADES  SO IT CAN GO TO SOMEONE AS A PROJECT.  THE BIKE …..HONDA TL125sFRAME IS SOLID  (Number TL 125s 1015662)IT HAS A CG BRAZIL ENGINE ( not sure if it is still a 125 as haven’t had the engine out but it kicks like the cc has been increased).(Number CG125BRE  8100048)THE TANK IS CLEAN INSIDE (has always been dry stored and sealed )PAINT JOB (I think the paint must have been borrowed off the Forth rail bridge , but it has done the job of protecting the bike)HUGE SPARK AT THE PLUG (we put a new plug in )WHEELS ARE GOOD (it has had a new front tyre and tube so it could be test ridden. It started 3rd kick after all those years.CLUTCH PLATES WERE STUCK (never been started in over 20 years.  Now free but a little stiff as haven’t flushed the engine yet or had a look at the clutch plates , might be cable.)EXHAUST IS SOLID (it will need a 35mm i.d bend welding in or a small flexi as you will see in photo’sSAMMY MILLAR SEAT ( Will need recovering )BRAKES WORK WELL.IT HAS THE ORIGINAL AIR BOX . THIS BIKE WILL NEED NEW CONTROL GEAR  IT IS MISSING REAR MUDGUARD AND ORIGINAL  FRONT IS SHABBY  AND RIGHT SIDE PANEL IS NEEDED LEFT IS SHABBYTHE BIKE WILL MAKE A GREAT RESTORATION PROJECT  AND I KNOW I WILL NEVER GET ROUND TO IT AS THERE ARE AT LEAST 5 AHEAD  IN THE QUEUE.
