Here for auction my 1980 Suzuki GS550E. I planned to strip this bike down and sell the parts individually but i need the space so i’m putting it up for auction as a complete bike. As you can see from the pictures its in a pretty bad way as it had sat in a garden for 20 years and its developed a lot of corrosion on the frame. I put a battery on it and although the start button didn’t work the engine does turn over by bridging the solenoid but that’s as far as i got as the carbs are stuck closed. I’m sure with some work it could be made to run again. Good points are it has a Motad 4 into 1 exhaust which is in pretty good condition with only a little flaking at the bottom of the manifold. The side panels are in good condition with no broken clips and will clean up well as will the tail piece. Its got engine crash bars which could be repainted or rechromed. For someone with time to strip it down there could be a good profit with all the parts listed individually or if you’re feeling brave you could attempt to recommission it or make a cafe racer/brat bike as i have the full V5 in my name. That’s about it, have a good look at the pictures and im sure its obvious that it will need a van or trailer to take it away, im based in Barton le Clay, what you see is what you get, it comes with keys but there’s no seat as it did not survive, feel free to ask questions and thanks for looking
