Up for sale is a 2002 Triumph TT600. The bike is a non runner and is being sold as spares/repair. Might make a good little project for someone. History of the bike is as follows.

My Dad bought this bike in roughly 2010/11. It was a crash damaged bike with light damage to fairings/bobbins/levers. It had a little over 6k miles on it IIRC. After getting the bike back in to good working condition, the bike was stored for a year or two. My Dad hadn’t ridden in years and I feel like he was putting of the idea of jumping back on to two wheels.

So the bike was now running well. Full service carried out and it was ready to go.

The bike sat for a few years and started to look a little worse for wear. It was covered outdoors for a good while, but it still ran and was turned over from time to time. Eventually I took it and did a pretty comprehensive rebuild. I carried out a service, oil, coolant, filters, brakes fully rebuilt with rebuild kits. I cleaned the fuel lines of old fuel and fitted a new throttle cable. I sorted all the panels and did a proper clean and polish. The bike was looking good and riding good. Everything was sharp and tight. Brakes were good and it pulled well through all gears. It was finally ready to be ridden.

My Dad took the bike away and basically stored it until my brother borrowed it. He started to use the bike for a couple of trips into Liverpool a week. No big miles at all. At some point a van cut him off and he went down in a little low side. From this point, in maybe 2018/19 the bike sat under a cover, in all weathers through all seasons. It was started once in a while for some time until it wasn’t.

My Dad passed away in 2021 and I took ownership of the bike a year later with the intention of rebuilding it. No sentimentality, just purely for a project. The miles are still very low having not really moved much at all. It now sits at around 6500 miles.

I bought a new chain after I cut off the old one to push the bike the couple of miles to my house. I’ve not fitted the new one. I also purchased a tank and included a pic of the inside condition. It’s black but it’s in good condition compared to the old one which was corroded to hell. I rebuilt the pump and that is ready to fit to the tank. Basically it needs someone to try turning it over. It would likely need a new battery and the alarm system is a pain in the arse. I remember the datatool alarm constantly going off until the battery was disconnected.

It needs some work. I have a video of the bike running back in 2017 after I fixed her up, but the bike was running well. Now I don’t know. It’s been some years. I don’t have any pics from when that work was done, but it doesn’t matter much since all that matters is it’s current condition. Sorry the pictures suck, but access is tight in my garage.

Collection will absolutely need a trailer or a van for obvious reasons.
