1997 Yamaha Virago, low mileage 15341, used as my daily after passing my test in October. Had carbs rebuilt, led headlight, bobbed rear fender and full respray on Harley Davidson black cherry.
On the 2nd of November I was involved in a nasty crash and broke my arm, and over the next few months the bike was in dry storage as I repaired it. I had it fully resprayed at a professional body shop, rewired the lights and had the carbs rebuilt at my one and only garage.
Recently the bike has developed an annoying problem where after about 15 minutes it loses most of its power and starts backfiring. Seems like it is misfiring on one cylinder. Seems like a limp mode but obviously the bike is too old for that. My garage diagnosed it as rust in the fuel system and drained it of some rainwater which had somehow got in, it worked for a few miles and now is doing the same thing. This is my daily commuter and I need something reliable so hence the sale.
