Yamaha ybr 125 engine spares or repair.
Selling this engine as I have bought a new one. It has significant damage to the barrel and the piston is blown to bits. From what I can make out, the timing gear broke which caused the detonation and the piston to blow.
The crank is fine but doesn’t make a full cycle – I assume there is a fragment of piston stuck inside.
The engine will need taking apart, cleaning out any fragments and a new barrel and piston (£40), new timing gear (£10). Then it will work as good as new I’m sure.
I have since changed the engine (changed whilst waiting for the RAC!) And my new engine has done 3k miles so I won’t need this one.
Engine mileage was 43k when the piston blew.
Ideally collect from Canvey Island but can post for £25.
